WordPress shenanigans

This morning, I received a couple of emails, one from the USA and one from Belgium. USA was thanking me for following him. I responded “I thought I was following you all along, I don’t know why I was unfollowed”. I wondered why I wasn’t seeing his art in my feed, so I went to the blog and it said ‘follow’ instead of ‘following”. Weird. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me, I was unfollowed a couple of other bloggers in recent times, including ashleyleia. (Why? What’s up with the deactivated comments in WordPress?

I contacted the Happiness Engineers at WordPress to find out what the disconnected comment situation is all about. In my case, it usually happens if I publish in mobile (rarely) or if I start writing in mobile, and then finish/publish on my laptop (usually).

Handy mobile app features: twitter, instragram and tumblr

Some social media apps on mobile have some really handy features I like. I got used to these features, which is why when I join new apps and notice they don’t have the same flexibility or capability as the others, I am propelled to call this out on my blog. 😛
