Sunday fluff

Where is everyone?

I was trying to explain to Tucker that nothing happens out there.

Covid hair be gone…

First of all, no one is sick with the covid. 😬

Second of all, as is standard at this time of year (beginning with cooler weather), some people in this house are feeling a little run down. They made the decision to cancel all activities out of the house (of which there are oh so many – not 🙄) and remain here in the house at all times.

Yay. Continue reading “Covid hair be gone…”

The Monkey Bread saga – part 2

The continuation of the Monkey Bread saga continues…click here for part 1 from yesterday.

* * *

My tween girl and I were baking bread (me) and Monkey Bread (her).  While the doughs were rising, and the dishes piling up, and I had my back turned for a moment, she disappeared.

Because, kids. 🙃 Continue reading “The Monkey Bread saga – part 2”

A little incoherence, and a short update

This morning, I slept till 8 am.

Actually I woke several times since about 3 am. I had all sorts of jumbled thoughts about wicked, strange dreams I longed to get back to so I just rolled over and stayed in bed until 8. Sort of fell asleep again into a semi-dozed state.

If you still can, go outside and walk around a little, especially if you’re in the northern Hemisphere and have been waiting a long time for spring to arrive. Please obey the physical and social distancing rules and be safe.

For the most part, we were doing fine with this endless staying home and indoors. Continue reading “Beckoning sunshine during lock-down”

About my sorry-not-sorry comments lately

I’ve been saying that a lot lately, haven’t I. Like my earlier post from a few hours ago which was all ranty and full of expletives.

Sorry. (Not really.) 😐

Apologizing is a very Canadian 🇨🇦 activity so sorry for saying sorry when I’m not really sorry. 😄

The day the ceiling tried to crush me

Disclaimer: This post deteriorates from anecdotal to ranty. Sorry not sorry.

When I was 18 my dentist said I needed to have my wisdom teeth pulled.

So I went and the orthodontist pulled them.

He sent me home with a script for codeine, and my mom tucked me into bed to sleep it off.

When I woke up, I felt a momentary flash of panic.
