Hunger is enough. Hunger for change, for experiences, for fulfillment. Hunger is key. It leads to growth, maturity, illumination. When hunger subsides, death ensues. Towers fall. Accept, learn, then move on. Cycles or phases are part of the natural ebb … Continue reading Feed your hunger

I’ve traveled down memory lane back to my University dorm and wrote out a bunch of memories. There are now 4 essays posted on my If Not Now When publication under the Sexuality tab about my coming-of-age lessons in sex and sexuality. If this isn’t me pushing comfort zones then I don’t know what is! 😛 Your discomfort does not inhibit my creativity. I decided to cross-post the newest essay here on my blog for you to read in case you cannot access the Medium platform. I know they have a quota if you’re not a member or subscriber. I drew the Star card for the first time last weekend while making plans for the next chapter in my life.
Naturally, I was intrigued. I pulled this card in a sequence of three cards, like I usually draw, but like the last time, one card jumped the deck. This is the spread:
The King of Swords was the card that jumped the deck. It means something (but what?). I’ll go investigate this in a minute.
The Two of Cups and the Ace of Swords I placed on my past and future spot on my paper, and will look at later.
For now, I’m interested in the present. As you know from this post, my present has a bit of upheaval in it, but in a good way. I’m interested in seeing what this Major Arcana card, the Star, has to tell me.Continue reading “Tarot Tuesdays – the Star card”

I mentioned in this video that I pulled some wand cards the other day.
So first, I had this deep, long chat with a friend. I wanted to sit down and make some notes but yada yada it didn’t happen right away. Before I walked away from everything to exercise I took my deck of tarot cards and shuffled while asking this question:
“How do I re-center myself so I can focus on my tasks?”
Two of the three cards that appeared were the Seven of Wands and the Ace of Wands. (The third was the High Priestess but I will leave her this time.)Continue reading “Tarot Tuesdays – Wand cards, and an announcement”
A writing friend of mine wrote a little story the other day and shared it with me with the words “don’t laugh”. (I laughed… 😃 ) He isn’t currently publishing anywhere so there is no link.
Immediately after I read it (and lol-ed), I was so inspired I typed out a related story into my Evernote app. But before I decided to publish it on some platform, I hesitated. The content is a little cringe-worthy, truth be told (but relatable to so many of us).
Still, I dithered and dilly-dallied. It took the same friend to encourage me to get over myself and post it despite the cringe-worthy content.Continue reading “Writing cringe-worthy material and hitting publish anyway”
Side note: I’m trying to figure out how things work on youtube, so if you’d like to subscribe, you’d be doing me a favour. Just make sure you subscribe the channel linked above; I have another similar channel which I am trying to get rid of – sorry for the confusion. The clip above is just over 5 minutes long (short). 😉
