Clearing negative energy the old-fashioned way
Today I listened to an online advisor who suggested different methods of clearing negative energy.

Continue reading “Clearing negative energy the old-fashioned way”After spending a few days in my mom’s clean house, I came back to mine and was overcome with a need to declutter and deep clean. No time like the present! (Ugh. I hate when I say stupid shit like that…)
Of course my return home was not smooth and uneventful. As I said yesterday, the look around the place had me suffer a conniption which catapulted me into action, so at least that. Right? Continue reading “No sparks of joy here while decluttering”
So. About boot camp… 😶
After Tuesday’s chocolate gorging, I went to check out the local exercise class in the church basement on Wednesday morning.
Well, the good news is, I’m still alive. 😂 Continue reading “About jump rope and laundry”
I have a question for you, but before I give you my own answer, I want to explain something.
First, the question.
If you have a dishwasher, what part of emptying it do you hate the most?

When we went to old Zurich on our last day of vacation in Switzerland, we walked by a gallery where I saw this sculpture.
The artist’s name is Alexander E. Raber, and I wish I had gone in to look around. 🙂 (The gallery was closed, unfortunately, at that time.)
I have some questions: Continue reading “Artistic impressions and the questions they leave”
I posted this last night under a different title. Once it showed up in the reader I cringed at the stupid title I came up with so I took it down. I came up with a different title and here you go. 😃
The empty-nest followers of this blog assure me that life will get too quiet when the minions depart our humble abode. I know this, and I both look forward to and dread it somewhat. In the meantime, our mayhem at least provides blog fodder. 😉

My Saturday began with sneezing.
I made them dinner last night even though their dad wasn’t coming home to eat. Typically on those days, I let them fend for themselves or throw together leftovers.
Making dinner was relatively easy as I had pizza dough in the fridge, a foresight from two days ago to double the recipe. I am the queen of recipe-doubling! Ask me how many packages of ready-to-eat Mexican beef, pasta sauces, or meatballs I have in my freezer. 🙂
While I rolled out the dough I made them sweep, vacuum and de-clutter the entire open concept area around me. Continue reading “If it takes a fight then so be it”
Omg I had a morning today I rather I didn’t…
It must be Friday. Or Monday. Or any school day… 🙄
If you consider yourself a squeamish person, stop reading now because I’ll tell you things you can’t unsee in this rant. But such is life for us women; just another issue we have no choice but to deal with.
Sigh.
The other day in the car we were listening to a soft rock station and this song Bed of Roses by Bon Jovi came on. I’m not really a fan of this song (but I do like some of Bon Jovi’s stuff) but this stupid song has been in my head for three days. Help me! 😮
I want to go see the movie Bohemian Rhapsody with the kids but the kids are too young. Will wait for it to come out on Netflix.
I was on strike for a day and a half. When the shit hit the fan and everything fell apart on Monday afternoon I canceled practice to ‘help‘ a kid with math.
I can’t remember grade 6 math. 🙄 Continue reading “Random thoughts to get past a moody mood”
Is getting all worked up a female trait? A mom trait? Or just a trait that some lucky people possess?
Today, I’m annoyed.
This didn’t happen immediately upon waking up, nor did I expect to feel annoyed later. We actually had a fantastic weekend, and I had a good sleep, woke up in a pleasant mood, had coffee while everyone else slept in, and bonus: the outdoor public pool was open and lessons a go. It had maintenance issues most of last week, cancelling lessons and swim club twice, which annoyed me then.
But not this morning. This morning I was in a happy mood.
About a week ago I started seeing a physio-therapist to help me deal with some muscle tension in my neck, right arm and upper back.
Do you have some odd or quirky way of doing things in your household that some people think is weird?
My family often thinks that I’m odd and quirky. I used to think that I’m the only one, but it appears that this is simply not so. Some of the blogs I have discovered in the last few months proves this to me. There are women like me out there who agonize over things that don’t seem to preoccupy the general population but bother people like me.
So when this thing happened last night, I didn’t feel quite so odd anymore.
Allow me to elaborate: Continue reading “Quirks and oddities: running the household”
