I have decided to do something
dumb fun. 😳
I have decided to do something
When I posted that picture of me in pig-tails, thanks to the teen girl and her hair-styling implements, a couple of people commented that I look young. Note: I am not young. No, really. I’m not young. (Also, what is young?) As most of you probably know I am a mom of teens. I suspect that you think of me as GenX. I am. I believe I have mentioned this a few times over the years as well. 🙂 I’ve been thinking about age a lot lately, which is partly influenced by this idiotic thing on twitter I came across … Continue reading Age is just a number
I listened to the ABBA Gold album yesterday while cleaning/sweeping/swiffering/cooking with my wireless headset on my head, singing and dancing along to all the tunes.
Family gave me some sideway glances. I didn’t care!
Dog was… confused, but guess what? I didn’t care!
I amazed myself that I knew the words to most of the songs…Continue reading “Fun songs with cringeworthy lyrics”
This post is the second part of a story I recalled while walking down memory lane. It involves a life drawing class with nude models. It may interest you to read part 1 first, and I would highly encourage you to read the comments, as well.

One day many moons ago, my Fine Art professor announced we were going to do some life drawing in the two next classes. It was going to involve nude models.Continue reading “Life lessons: sketching nude models (part 1)”
Yesterday I listened to an online webinar. My first one, ever.
This is what I had posted to my door: Continue reading “Becoming unstuck: how a DottoTech webinar helped me back onto my path”
My left leg hurts.
I can barely walk.
It’s the upper thigh location. Searing pain, as if I pulled a muscle.
But I haven’t done anything other than sitting.
Maybe it’s all the sitting… Continue reading “A nothing post”
Disclaimer: I understand that many/most people have bigger fish to fry while the world is falling apart than to sit and contemplate this vanity-induced post here, so if you do comment, please be kind (but still honest) – I have no qualms blocking anyone if you attack or put down someone’s opinion on my blog.

Once upon a time when I was young and stupid, I dated some people I shouldn’t have.
Recently, I reflected on some comments one of them made, that have me irked. (sorry not sorry)
Here’s one that surfaced today: Continue reading “Letting (her/yourself) go”
While some places are opening up and allowing hair salons and barber shops to invite business back into their establishments, Toronto isn’t there (yet).
But here’s the thing:
Yesterday, on a whim, I contacted our dog-owning friends to ask them a question.
“Will you let me kidnap your Schnoodle?” I asked [not so] innocently.
