It’s October and Libra season has begun

If you have Libra anywhere in your natal chart, you may be interested in this post. If you don’t, I bet you know a Libra (well, if you’re reading here you know me!) so this post still pertains to you and your life. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s a little breakdown about the zodiac signs:

Most people associate with their sun sign in the zodiac. For example, if you were born in the middle of October, your sun sign is Libra โ™Ž (like me). My brother was born in the second half of December, so that makes him a Sagittarius โ™. Both my mom and my sister were born in April, two weeks apart, but the early April birthday is an Aries โ™ˆ, and the later one is a Taurus โ™‰.

In my immediate family (kids and their dad) there are three Libras and one Piscesโ™“. (September, October, October and March birthdays.)

But did you know that your moon sign can be just as important in terms of astrological observances?

The sun sign describes your character and personality which is what most people go by, but the moon is more in tune with the internal, emotional side of yourself. Think of how the moon affects the tides; I associate water with emotion and since the moon affects the Earth’s water systems, I pay attention to my moon sign.

My moon is in Cancer.

To find this out you can just google one of the sites that helps you calculate all this stuff. I like cafeastrology.com but there are multiple other ones.

To find out your moon sign though, you do need to know what time you were born. I’m not sure if you can find out your moon sign without the time of birth, but go ahead and google it if it interests you, and let us know in the comments.

If you’re a bit of a fanatic when it comes to astrology, you might also want to know what position other planets were in at your time and date of birth: Mercury, Mars, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter etc.

I’m not a fanatic (with astrology, ha) so I mostly just pay attention to my sun and moon signs.

I am a Libra, and Libra season has begun!

And I have a story to tell you, one that relates to tarot.

I still play with my tarot cards, just not as often. I did well with it on TikTok but that app makes me want to stick a fork into my eye at times, so for the next few days or so I deleted it. I’ll get back to it and pick up on my hashtag #ClaudetteTarot and see what the views are like then. They’ll probably drop off if I don’t post regularly and if that’s the case, well then, SO BE IT.

I have things going on here that are more important than TikTok.

One thing I wanted to share was how a recent tarot reading right around the transition time from Virgo to Libra gave me the Two of Wands card. You may recall I wrote about it in a previous post. I published the PDF in my digital product shop in regular and mobile friendly format, and they are free of charge if you’re interested in reading them. Just enter the number 0 in the price point.

But that’s just an aside. The story I wanted to tell you was how the Two of Wands appeared several more times in the next two days, including today.

In all sorts of places, not just in my little tarot studio!

First, I did a small tarot reading for myself, just to read some energy and tap into my intuition. I feel a little overwhelmed lately and the cards help to direct me toward what is important now and what I can leave for later. The Two of Wands was the first card that came out, which reminded me that it showed up a couple of days ago too. (Great, a stalking card, I thought, better pay attention). I went about reading the rest of the cards and noted the Two of Wands message, which resonated well with me.

Next, I did a quick reading for a friend and the Two of Wands showed up again. This is the third time this cards appears, I remembered thinking. I was using a different deck for her, and I spent a long time shuffling really well, so I thought it was weird.

That same day a little later, I was scrolling around youtube to find a documentary I wanted to listen to while cooking something. Searching my library for previously saved podcasts, I came across some other videos that had just been posted by online tarot readers who were flashing the Two of Wands card at the screen.

Like I said, the card appears to be stalking me.

The next morning (today) I listened to a Libra reading by one of the online tarot readers, and the first card she was dealt was…

…the Two of Wands. ๐Ÿ™‚

There are 78 tarot cards in a deck and everyone was pulling the Two of Wands! The woman I was listening to wasn’t even in my time zone.

I mentioned stalking cards before in a post that no longer exists on this blog, perhaps I should re-active it. The entire thing alerted me to a strange sequence of coincidences, and since I don’t believe in coincidences, I attribute this event as synchronicity.

I realize some of you don’t subscribe to this metaphysical view point. Well, I haven’t always followed these things either but there have been multiple strange events in the last year or so that piqued my interest, so I looked a little deeper and lo, I feel quite attached to my tarot cards. I’m deeply fascinated by them.

Please don’t come at me if you don’t share my view, but feel free to debate your view on your own blog.

(just sayin’)

How do the tarot cards help me?

  • At best, I gain a deeper understanding of some dilemma I’m facing.
  • At worst, I’m entertained by some incredibly creative and artistic representation of ideas and world views

There. You don’t have to follow it if you don’t want to.

But if you’re curious, especially about the Two of Wands appearing multiple times in my orbit right at the beginning of Libra season, then I have something for you to read.

The idea hit me while I was still in bed, sipping my first coffee and crocheting coasters for my water glasses (because my mom complained I leave water rings on her furniture, that’s why).

Side note: do you want me to make some for you? Crocheting is such a relaxing activity while you’re listening to a podcast…

Here’s a picture of the ones I made for myself:

Aren’t they cute? I might make some and stick them in my etsy shop.

Another aside:

I sold out of my first batch of birch bark. I was doing something in my home office, minding my own business, when suddenly my phone went berserk. It made a noise that sounded like a cash register, which I didn’t recognize because my new shop, Boldly Chic Boutique, hadn’t had any sales yet. Well, not only did I make a sale, but my customer bought all six bags I had available!

SOLD OUT!

I was so happy and immediately went to print off the thank-you card which turned into an hour long ordeal because the printer hates me, but I’ll leave that for another day to bitch about.

I made it to the post office before 5 pm and then came back to close the sale in my etsy app. So happy!

But back to my Two of Wands story.

I have in my collection of tarot cards, four decks in total, each of which has a slightly different interpretation, artistically speaking, of the Two of Wands card’s meaning.

Two of Wands Tarot

Aren’t they beautiful?

These are the deck’s names in order from left to right: Rider-Waite (the traditional, original deck), the Shadowscapes (which was gifted to me by Summerhill Lane), the Intuitive Night Goddess and my newest one the Chakra Wisdom Tarot.

By the way everything in that picture is fore sale except for my cards. ๐Ÿ™‚ The bracelets are in the process of being loaded into my etsy shop, so if you’re interested in them, let me know in the comments and I’ll push those to the front of my to-do list. And I have several fresh batches of birch bark if you want some to decorate your holiday tables.

So, with the Two of Wands, I wrote up a report analyzing and interpreting each of the similar but different presentations. It was an educating exercise to focus on today, mainly because I feel the messages resonate to my personal circumstances.

The report is available in my digital products shop in two formats: regular size PDF (for laptops, tablets) or Mobile friendly PDF (and it gives you the option to load directly into kindle, or download to your device).

Click the image to take you to the store and the PDF.

Here is a sample from my report:

The Two of Wands in the Shadowscapes deck:

This Two of Wands representation enhances an additional message I did not see in the Rider deck; there is a lion present. Lions in tarot symbolize strength, be it physical or internal. This lion has a horn, which reminds me of unicorns.

What does it mean?

There are a lot of felines in this card; docile domestic cats underneath a ferocious but protective lion. You are sitting atop the lion as if to say โ€œprotect me from danger, Iโ€™m not ready yet to tackle it on my ownโ€.

  1. Claudette you are always an interesting read! First of all, Happy Birthday, then of course congrats on the sold out bark, and I’m assuming that the stalking of the wands could turn out to be magical. All good. Hugs, C
