Today was a dark, volatile day until lunchtime. Then, my cutie pie lunch date turned the day into a fine day of happy memories despite the grey skies and cool but humid temperatures outside and I returned home full of salmon teriyaki, and later coffee, to tackle my work day anew.

It’s nice to have a life, is what I’m saying.

I managed to accomplish the second part of something I started on the weekend, involving the chaos that is Amazon and KDP and .ca and .com and all the rest of it. I am not ashamed to admit that I cried tears of deep frustration earlier today.

It’s probably me, not them, who made things worse. But maybe it was them, and not me. I mean, I can’t cause that much damage to a platform… can I? Or perhaps I’m just talented that way…

But it’s done, my project. The two books are loaded and on the page and they appear where they’re supposed to appear and who cares if the author page doesn’t link properly. I am going to fix that shit another time, when I’m in a better mood to talk to people who will almost definitely give me the runaround.

Point is, the two short story collections are posted. Best place to see them is in the book tab of this website which will link you directly to the site where you can purchase my stories.

Listen, I have used the KDP creator thingy now on and off for a couple of years. It’s a bit of a learning curve (or, I’m not good at this sort of thing and it takes me longer to get familiar than it takes normal people). I managed to figure things out fine, but the publishing part to Amazon is what’s been causing me all sorts of time-consuming grief. The link to an author page has been causing me trouble.

Whatever. Point is, congratulations are in order. I set out to do two things, and did them, and now I can move on and do other things.

See how easy it is when you have sheer will and determination? Never mind about the fucking tears of frustration.

As far as the erotica is concerned, I decided to awaken Cassandra and keep her alive. Sorry, to those of you who insisted I kill her. I’m going to keep publishing erotic stuff on my Smashwords site, which is also available on the book tab on this website. Just scroll down, you’ll see it.

Anyway, the sun seems to be pushing through which is always a good sign to turn volatile moods around.

Thank you for dropping by today!

  1. Congrats! ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅ‚
Not to add to your to-do list, but have you considered creating a GoodReads author profile? It’s another way to connect to your audience and link to your books. Plus I like keeping track of my book reading progress using the app, which I share on Twitter. I’d like to share my reading progress of one of your books in the future. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. No shame in tears of frustration! Daughter and I were talking about frustration and she reminded me of the time I took a baseball bat outside and beat up a dumpster๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ She said it traumatized her because she’d never seen me go off like that. I thought it was very good way to vent my frustration ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ
