About two years ago I wrote a romantic story with an erotic edge called Music Lovers. I posted some of the chapters on another blog as the story developed in my head which gave me an opportunity to experiment with character and plot development as well as the tricky methods of writing sensual sex scenes.
I’ve learned a lot from this story, but compared to the kinky erotica I wrote much later, this story is relatively tame and soft. So don’t worry: no bondage, no kink, no dominating men or submissive women. And no sushi… 😀 (You had to be there…) 😛
If you want to read about kink and sushi, loosely based on an episode from Sex and the City, go to Medium and read my story there. It’s called Liz and her outlandish kink. It has four parts. The story isn’t finished, but I’ll return to it another time when I’m in the right head space. Right now I’m in the romance headspace, not kink and bdsm, so I’ll ride that wave first. 😉
I’ve shared Music Lovers with a few people in the past, men and women, who took time out of their day to give me feedback. I appreciated it but ultimately decided it needed more work, so I put it away and almost forgot about it.
And then, something happened. I woke up one morning with a very vivid image in my head about these two characters, Samantha and Adam, which led me to dig up my manuscript and revisit the story.
I remember now why I wrote it. I’m so emotionally attached to this story, I can’t help but try to improve it. Something is pushing me to re-publish the improved version, to a wider audience this time. My blog seems the perfect space for this.
Yesterday, I re-edited the first chapter and it is ready for publishing shortly.
Here’s my plan:
Since November is often kind of blah here in the northern hemisphere, I figured I’ll immerse myself into story writing again and publish the content on my blog. This gives me something to do that fuels my creativity and it gives you something to read. Win-Win. 🙂
Please note I plan on releasing some chapters under Premium Content for subscribers for a small fee per locked content.
Looking forward to your feedback.
