WoW is my acronym for Writer of Words… 🙂
I’ve been cleaning house. And by house I mean my online life. I unsubscribed and unfollowed a significant chunk of my reading material because my time is so limited these days. The time constraints are temporary, but cleaning house was overdue and so I’m doing it now.
If not now, when?
This mantra is so appropriate to all aspects of my life. 🥰
If you’re one of the people I have unfollowed, please don’t take it personally. I still see you, especially when you like or comment on my blog or on some of the few blogs I still read. I click on you to check in on you because I’m interested in what is going on in your life, at least the part you share in your blog.
I have made other changes:
I decided to put book publishing on hold for now. The stories I have ready for consumption will either be put on this blog under premium content (to which you can subscribe if you like) or on Medium under the paywall.
I changed my username on Medium to my full name. https://claudettelabriola.medium.com/
Note to self: change the profile image. In fact, I think I need to revamp my profile across every Writer of Words etc stream and take a new picture that is more… normal.
One of the reasons I started making some of these changes is to supplement my income without eliminating my passion. I tried Patreon for a while but decided that wasn’t the right platform for me. Medium is ongoing and somewhat neglected recently due to the above-mentioned time constraints. But after Thanksgiving (which Canada celebrates this weekend) I will push forward with my new business plan. Hence the house cleaning.
To be clear, I still want to publish, or self-publish, my own books. My first one, which I released back in March, was one of the most exhilarating experiences I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to do it again. My problem isn’t writing the material or even self-publishing it. The process isn’t difficult. My problem is the marketing side of things. I am not a good sales person. I am however working on improving.
The Man from the South self-published book
You can still by my erotic story The Man from the South from here if you’re up for reading a story about a woman who had a kinky (soft BDSM) experience with a man she met online but didn’t actually have sex with. Let me know what you think in a review, I’d appreciate it.
Cassandra Lincoln is my erotica pseudonym.
I also want to spend more time refining my jewelry business. I have to expand it both locally and online and I don’t have a lot of knowledge on how to do this. I enjoy making jewelry and when I get overwhelmed by all the life stuff, I go hide in the basement at my mom’s house where I set up my jewelry business corner. 🙂 Stay tuned for pictures…
This is what I posted to instagram yesterday:
Michaels is a craft store here in Canada and features a jewelry making section. They occasionally have nice sales when it makes sense to purchase new beads which are otherwise expensive and overpriced. Unfortunately I didn’t buy any, but…
I WILL BE BACK, Michaels craft stores… 🙃
Premium content for subscribers
Stay tuned for premium content updates which will require subscription for a small fee. I plan on republishing some revamped/improved erotic/erotica stories from my Cassandra blog, and include personal essays which will be more vulnerable and exposing.
I also hope to get back to writing new erotic stories, both flash fiction and multi-series ones… Perhaps I will be mused to pick that up again in the coming weeks. 😈😇
Thank you for reading
Until then, I appreciate your readership, your comments, and your continued support.
If you’re Canadian, happy Thanksgiving! If you’re not, happy weekend!
See you in the comments.
