Beagle shenanigans: a new update

When I returned home from visiting my mom I discovered that the naughty puppy had dug three fresh holes in the new lawn.

New being a relative term; it was new last year. The weeds have already started growing back in so it doesn’t look as new as it did last year anymore.

And with the holes now?

Exhibit A

He appears to be looking for something. It’s possible he buried his bone in that hole.

I looked but the only thing I found was thick, brown, ornamental pieces of glass. What is it? Where did it come from? Are there shards of glass buried below the lawn? 😳

I took those away and occupied myself with something else when Tucker stuck his head into the next hole.

Exhibit B

You can’t really tell from the picture how deep he dug. I placed a shoe in for measurement, but it doesn’t show properly in the image either (not posted).

Note: I wear size 8.5. (38-39 in Europe.) The entire shoe fit in the hole. πŸ™„

Anyway, he’s a trouble maker. Have I mentioned this before? A cute, handsome trouble maker who turns 1 year old on June 26. πŸŽπŸŽˆπŸŽ‰

I’m sitting outside sipping coffee in the wee hours of morning. I was going to sip hot coffee and listen to the birdsong out on my back porch.

It was not meant to be.

Beagle puppy decided he wanted to go here, go there, do this, do that and by the time I finally gave him a bone my coffee was no longer hot.

I like hot coffee, not lukewarm coffee. β˜•

He took the bone, but instead of chewing it, he wandered off with it.

Exhibit C

He’s trying to bury it along the path of the detached garage/shed. (It’s a mess right now – it’s getting a makeover later this month.)

I let him get it out of his system. He finally came up here to relax by surveying the backyard from his perch while I sipped my lukewarm coffee and typed this post. πŸ™ƒ

It’s going to be a scorcher today. The weather widget sent a heat alert warning. Low 30s C which is low 90s F. πŸŒ‘οΈβ˜€οΈ

Which means once the a/c kicks in, I’ll be indoors writing. πŸ˜‰

  1. Scorcher did the next few days here as well. I have to mow the lawn today which I am not looking forward to in the heat. Tucker is a cute little devil… but almost as destructive as our woodchucks.

  2. Well, as my dog leaves parts of dog biscuits buried in the couch and my husbands sock drawer, I can’t decide if I’d be mad about the hole
