Yesterday the men drove north – out of the city – to practice some driving when they came upon a farm which sold pasture-fresh meat and eggs.
They brought home the most amazing looking steaks and chops I’ve seen in a long time.
This is what the eggs look like:

I spent the day at home puttering, not writing, gardening, and trying to keep puppy entertained.
Tucker was very interested in my contraband tulips.

Still no sign of the neighbours. Are they ever coming back? Nobody seems to know…
Puppy decided to find himself a nice spot for a nap at some point during the afternoon.

I don’t know what it is with the canines (and felines) seeking out tight, uncomfortable-looking spots. I mean, he could stretch out along the whole couch but chooses to squeeze in the corner by the mismatched pillows.

And then he curled up into this little ball of fur. 🥰
What else happened on the weekend?
I grilled food on the recently cleaned BBQ. This is how I like to eat to lose or maintain weight:

That’s broccoli-rabe (rapini) steamed and fried with red onion and a squeeze of lemon (and a drizzle of maple syrup), grilled eggplant with Parmesan, grilled chicken on a sesame ginger dressing, and grilled bell peppers.
I have leftovers. May mix it with some quinoa today and make a protein bowl.
We’re in a cool spell. The rain forecast has so far not happened (yet), although there’s been some drizzle here and there. I’m not unhappy about that although I do wish it was warmer by now.

The lockdown continues to at least May 20th, although I doubt it will be lifted by then. The third wave is hitting us hard…or so they have us believe. I don’t know what to believe anymore.
Good morning Monday, better be good to me. 🙂
PS Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow for Tarot Tuesdays!
I think the lockdown will be extended as well. Considering the long weekend is right after the anticipated lifting of restrictions. There’s no way they’re going to allow anyone to get together on the long weekend.

Good point.
Although I get rage-y w hen I think of all the outdoor activities being canceled that really are minimal risk. So they’re going to sit around a fire at a campside? Yeah, that’s less risky than going to Walmart…Or play golf, four at at time? Real risky. Outdoor tennis? It’s beyond ridiculous.

Agreed! It’s time to start opening up some things. We can’t stay like this forever.

Sophie Cat will curl up to my belly, but Zeus Dawg is a sprawler. He only tries to be small when he and Ben are fighting over who gets to sit next me on the couch.
That food looks nom nom nommy, and the tulips are beautimous! I’m sure the former owner would endorse your theft, so it’s not really theft.😉
After 34° on Friday, 17° yesterday, today was a perfect 23° 🥳💃🏼💕

It was like a Goldilocks weather weekend… too hot, too cold, then just right.
I’m sure you’d be happy with any of the three. Even the 34 was humidity in the teens… too dry, but not suffocatingly sticky. We pay “Sunshine Tax” to be spoiled with nice weather. Everything cost SOOOO much more than most other places.

Our little rescue cat has taken to sleeping in the kitchen at the moment. Don’t ask me why. I don’t think he knows either.

Tucker makes a perfect little ball of fur, which autocorrect changed to fun, which is also true.

Gibson goes round and round in circles until he decides he is ready to settle into a little ball in a tight corner and then falls asleep. So interesting to watch.
Yes, wishing for some sunshine to brighten the mood and also get some extra vitamin D. I like your diet. How come we are so much alike, right down to the food. Sending love and many hugs

We call it a Gracieball after one of my friends called Gracie Mae. She went over the Rainbow Bridge last year and she was the best proponent of the tight curl ball sleeping that I knew.
