About cake and sunrise (a nothing post with pictures)

You want to know what happens to me when I eat carbs, like cake?

Anyway the cake yesterday was sooooooo good. Yum. I may get another one for Easter. 😳

Today we lost an hour. I think that’s how it works, but I get confused and really, the days all blend into each other anyway. They should do away with daylight savings time, I don’t know of a single person who likes this stupid thing.

Not sure if spring is coming or if this is just a tease but this is what 8 am at my mom’s looks like. See the little snowdrops below? And the birdhouse is occupied, a sparrow couple is busy building a nest in there. 🙂

My family came for a visit last night and went back home to sleep and I stayed at mom’s. I’ll be returning home later today, probably after lunch. I may re-tackle the book blurb I was working on a couple of days ago, maybe. We’ll see. But I’m currently distracted by the sunrise.

I got my mom this orchid years ago and it loves the spot she put it in. One is already blooming!

This setting is inspiring, isn’t it. Painters, writers, poets…we should all have a spot like this to feed our creativity.

Happy Sunday. And to the UK moms…happy Mother’s Day. ❤️

  1. Daylight savings time doesn’t start until the end of March here. It is utterly pointless, though, and the EU has agreed to abandon it which would mean that the clocks change in March and then never go back.

That said, they have been agreeing to do this since 2018, so I will believe it when I see it.
