Beagle puppy update, a poll, and some pre-weekend chit chat

Tucker the mischievous puppy is going to learn how to sleep over at grandma’s house tonight.

I packed up my teen girl, the 4 month old Beagle and my stuff and we drove to my mom’s place on Friday afternoon with the intention of staying for an overnight visit.

But…I did a thing. 👀

I pawned the puppy crate off on the teen girl and told her to sleep with him in the basement. Hah!

This would mean for the first time in over three months, I get to sleep in a room by myself. Bliss!

It will be interesting to see how the puppy and the girl child do together. What do you think?

Anyway, we have a bit of a diversion here with Grandma, a break from our four walls at home, and a change of scenery which is always nice.

This afternoon I did a little bit of computer work: learning a few things, some more typing up my webinar notes, and I fooled around with a Patreon page. But my head’s not in it…mornings are my best time to create content or deal with business things, not afternoons. I listened to some podcasts and watched some youtube training sessions – perfect for those lackluster times when I can’t write but still want some forward propulsion on my plans. I even came up with a little blog post for you to read.

This is my view as I type these words:

No matter what season, mom’s indoor plants flourish at this window.
Neighbour’s tree.
Birch trees glow in gold.

I’ve also bought a new dress. I was actually looking for kids’ clothes, but then walked past this little black number and I just couldn’t help myself. What do you think?

I think this dress would suit warmer weather with heels, and cooler weather with boots. Which reminds me, I should go dig out my boots from the attic. Soon. Because shoes. Shoes make me happy for some reason. 🙂

  4. The puppy will come back to you. You’re the leader of that puppy and he won’t forget it. The trick of sending the puppy to the basement with the girl won’t work. 😀
