It’s about (chair) (dis)comfort

This is what was missing during my writing adventures today.

Yes, apparently I am a princess now. Or a snowflake.Β  πŸ™„

I finally figured out the chair my dad was using was hurting my ass. 😳

So I moved it into the hall.

I tried, over the past weeks, to get it to feel more comfortable. I even brought two orange pillows from home to supplement the seating area and decrease my discomfort. These pillows:

Nothing was working. 😬

Then tried to relocated. I took my laptop and sat on the couch in the tv room.

But that would mean the others who are here would not want to watch tv lest it would disturb me. (Sometimes, tv doesn’t interfere with my writing. Sometimes, it does. Don’t ask…)

So I removed myself from the couch when the grandma/grandchild duo came back from shopping and returned to the home office.

That’s when I remembered – there was a different chair, a leather one, that my dad used to have. Mom put it in the crawl space when his Parkinson’s symptoms started affecting him more severely. At one point, I believe he even fell off the leather chair, which is on wheels without brakes.

Anyway, the leather chair is a bit bulky. So I commanded the sewing girl child to help me lug it out of the basement and up to the office.

She did. πŸ˜€

I now have much more comfort, to aid me in my procrastinating writing. 😊

Back to it now. I’m on chapter 4 of re-write/edit (out of 14…but I’m still missing an ending).

Don’t be jealous of my drama. πŸ™„

You’re welcome. πŸ˜›

  1. A good chair is important…when you’re sitting for hours on end. I sat on one of my stylish but uncomfortable wood dining room chairs for 4 hours a day the whole month of May, because I needed the table to spread my papers around, and what a mistake that was, even with cushions.

    1. It’s a bit of a challenge. I am not one to follow the masses, which in this case would dictate a happy ending. But my version of happy ending is not what we are led to believe by Disney and Co. πŸ™‚ So…gotta get my thinking cap on.
