    1. I clicked like to acknowledge but I don’t agree with you. I may not fall prey to every panic situation out there, but I take this virus, as I do other viruses, seriously. I hope my parents, and my aunt sequestered in Italy, manage to keep healthy. And you too. 🙂

      1. Corona is a generic term that describes EVERY virus. Kind of like saying you are going to the store to buy milk, and when you get there, you notice several brands of milk. It is still milk. Yesterday, the common cold killed more people than this strand of virus. This years strand of flu has a kill rate that is 4 times that of the “Corona Virus”. It is only dangerous to the same “risk Factors” of any other virus. The Avian Flu, the A1C flu, The Swine Flu…and now the Corona (the LEAST deadliest of all the viruses just mentioned).

        Definition of coronavirus
: any of a family (Coronaviridae) of single-stranded RNA viruses that have a lipid envelope studded with club-shaped projections, infect birds and many mammals including humans, and include the causative agents of MERS and SARS

      2. Yes my friend. I know all of this, but thank you for the education. My partner, currently teaching aviation at college, studied Molecular Cell Biology on his way to writing the entrance medical exams. He has given us much information from that perspective…

In the meanwhile, the colleges are preparing for their annual open houses and many students, including international ones, are hesitant to attend these functions. No one (that I know) wants to carry *a simple cold virus* that could potentially cause major disruption to someone else who may not be able to ward off COVID-19 from that cold virus brought on by someone else…

And so we pay attention, wash our hands, and make fun of toilet paper hoarders. Sigh.
