So I went back to boot camp.
I’m still alive.
A little achy, but not that sore. Not like last week. Last week I needed two days to recover. 🙂
Tomorrow I will probably feel it worse, but I spent some time this morning stretching myself out before I even left the house, and then we did a nice cool-down at the gym as well.
Including Kegels.
Ha.

There were significantly less ladies there this time, but a cute little baby of about 6 months joined us this week. He too did some push ups, quite by accident. Then he rolled over and surprised himself which caused some wailing. But a quick distraction with a toy, and a blue mat, and he was back to smiling. 🙂
So…the money is paid and I am going to go. Ten consecutive sessions.
Bring. It. On. 😉
Wanna know how I did with the jump rope?
30 rotations.
Last week I only did 10 before I started huffing and puffing.
I also am doing 10 push ups. Up from 2 last week (ugh!), and 5 on the weekend at home. 🙂
And I did three sets of 10. Push ups. So technically, 30 push ups.
HA. Are you proud of me? You should be. I am not a fit person and this is progress!
In terms of the rest of my life? The dryer is broken again. I got two loads done, and then the stupid machine died. We had words with Campbell, the new boyfriend. He got downgraded to friend status, only because he decided to charge us for half (labor only) and not for the part that didn’t do the job it was supposed to. I am back to spending my life hanging laundry in ever nook and cranny of this godforsaken house.
Ugh.
But, there’s a silver lining. Between the boot camp and the laundry hanging, I’m going to be in fantastic shape come summer.
Or by Spring Break, which isn’t that far away… Anyone wanna invite me to a sunny beach in March? You know how to contact me, I’m all over the web.
Err…wanna come to Rapid City in March? It may be sunny (but will most certainly still be cold). Plus, there are no beaches.
I’m thinking that’s going to be a hard no.

I know, lol. Guess I’ll never end up working for the South Dakota Board of Tourism.

Great content and great post! Thanks for sharing! And good for you for getting back to it! It’s not easy to do. Being that I’m an instructor of Bootcamp myself (one of the many things I teach) I can surely say Bootcamp is amongst the hardest of the physical and mental activities out there!

Wow! Congrats on the boot camp progress. I’ll be heading back to my class on Tuesday after a long break and I have to say I’m petrified! I hope my body gets itself in line as well as yours has.

I was dead last week. 2 days I took Advil. 😉 But I prepped this week with extra warm up stretching. And I paced myself at the gym.
If I can do it, and I did, anyone can. Good luck!

I have been taking a barre class once a week in addition to hiking, dance classes, and now skiing. I love the good kind of sore the day after. You’re making a lot of progress in a short time span. Good work!

It’s indoor which in January weather in Toronto is a good thing. 🙂

Definitely! Also, you mentioned a six month old and my granddaughter is that age. I was just looking at some video of her crawling. I bet she could run a boot camp. 😂😂

Wow! Your fitness is progressing very quickly. Your body must be like, oh yeah I know what this is. LOL!! Good for you, girl!!
And I’m really sorry about the dryer. I feel your pain. But a silver lining I’ve found in hanging laundry all over the house is the awesome way it smells. Silver lining.

Well I do some exercises at home which of course is helping, otherwise I’d be stuck in slow mo I think. 😉
Yes that’s true about the laundry. When we had a functioning dryer we often still hung things to dry but it’s nice to have options. Especially when time is in short supply.

And when space is in short supply as well. 😌
