I have been out of sorts this week.
Go ahead, roll your eyes. I know what you’re thinking:
“Here we go again with the perimenopausal women blaming biology for all their emotional upheaval…”
Well, you are not wrong. Which doesn’t make you right, either. π
Also, you are wrong. π
But don’t worry, I’m here to explain it to you. In actual fact, when I stumbled on the likeliest explanation by accident this morning, I had one of those revealing aha! moments.
Finally, things make sense, I thought to myself. I get it now.
It’s the planets’ fault.
Ha. π
It appears that Sunday, January 12, 2020 will be experiencing a major celestial event.
Apparently, Mercury, Saturn and Pluto will all be present in Capricorn tomorrow, aligning into a conjunction.
Conjunctions = all planets lined up in same sign.
I don’t know what people believe about zodiac predictions, but since I have nothing of substance to report today, I looked into this a bit. You know, for fun.
The gist is, when Mercury and Saturn come together, it signifies authority and power. But what’s more is that these planets, in the cardinal (fundamental, important) sign of Capricorn, “force us to take action against those who aim to control us, or hold us back”.
Do you feel held back at times? I feel held back all the time…
But the three planets have plans for us. This is a volatile time that is supposed to be felt across societies as well as individually in varying degrees.
I especially like the last remark:
“This is where we will unchain ourselves from the constraints or status quo of society and speak our mind.”
I wonder if I can do this. Unchain myself from my inhibitions and come out to speak my mind about what is on my mind? Or write about it. I am much better equipped to get my point across when I write than speak.
Anyway. If WWIII doesn’t happen tomorrow, I can delve into this a little more.
Until then, I’ll just sit here in my quiet little corner and sip my coffee and type out some drivel.
Happy weekend. Stay dry, if you’re in the North American north east. Some nasty weather coming today…
And here I thought a conjunction only referred to a word like “and” or “but.” Thank you for enlightening me! I’ve never understood astrology beyond reading my horoscope.

Neither did I! Great way to procrastinate by falling into the internet rabbit hole. π

A nap works or a good book. Take a rest and then tackle the new year. And of course, ask if ALexa is in the room just in case your son is having fun with you.

Just to reassure you, post menopause is liberating.
People are still idiots though.

Interesting, except all this is for naught if the tarot card I draw does not match my crushed tea leaves as I drop them on my oujia board at the stroke of midnight. I know because Alexa found it on the internet.

It was fun to research it a little, although I take it with a grain of salt. π
Hope you have a wonderful weekend too.
