Ah yes, it brings back memories from my flight attendant days. The fatigue, the confusion, the messed-up time… π
Going to bed early because your body clock thinks it’s six hours later and then waking up early for the same reason…that’s fun!
Not really. π
My family ate the quick dinner I threw together yesterday afternoon and then watched tv, played fortnite and…I don’t know what the girl child was up to. She was on her phone and crafting, I think. The usual.
I got in a progressively worse mood as the hours passed. The mess and clutter from half-unpacked suitcases…
Ugh.
I knew I needed to sleep and I knew where I wanted to stash the stuff we brought back so I told my partner to leave it. He did. Neither of us felt like doing much after the long travel day.
That’s the plan for today, unpack, laundry, put stuff away.
Anyone need some Swiss chocolate? I got enough to open a store if you must know. ππ
I will however also pick up my dog walking again today – little Jasper is going to be sooo excited to see me! I wonder if I can coax the girl to come with me.
I just hope the heat remains free of rain…the dryer is still broken and I need to get a few loads done today and hang them up outside. I also noticed the sink in the bathroom isn’t draining properly so someone will have to unclog it today. Oh and the weeds have sprouted everywhere; the garden is a mess.
Maybe I’ll get the teenager to tackle that today. π¬π
And so begins our first full day back in Canada.
I’ll take ALL of the chocolate that’s leftover, I’ll even pay for shipping.

Getting up at all hours because your body clock is out of whack is not only frustrating, but part of life over 60.

Yikes.
It helps that I’m naturally a morning person. π

Ugh.
I wanted to come home to the perfect home: clean, organized, yada. Right? But we ran out of time before we left…so now I have a clogged sink, the a/c is busted and so is the dryer, and the weeds have overgrown everything.
But it doesn’t detract from the super vacation!! Also, to calm down I’m eating Swiss chocolate. Hah. π
