I have some quirks. Surprised? π
A quirk is defined as a peculiar behavioral habit. Or something that’s odd.
Here’s an example:
The three pieces of cutlery on the left I will use. The two on the right I will not. Why?
They give me the willies.
Holding that fork in my hand makes me feel all weird.
That round shaped spoon feels all wrong, too. I prefer the oval shaped one.
πππ
Yes, I’m out of words today. I got nothing to write about.
Well that’s not entirely true. I have all kinds of drama to write about but I can’t, it’s not meant for these pages.
Today is a rainy, cold day, my dog got canceled, and everyone is gone. I may sit on this couch and type all day, even though most of it won’t be publishable. Or, I may take a gift card and go shopping.
Do you have any weird or odd quirks that are unusual (and entertaining to others)?
Happy Thursday people. If you feel like entertaining me, I’m here. π
I probably have more than my fair share of weird quirks lol!

What do you use to eat your soup then if you donβt use a soup spoon?

I use the oval one, not the round one. π

So a tablespoon. Why is a soup spoon wrong?

I can’t explain it either. π Feels weird and icky.

There will be a reason somewhere buried deep in your psyche.

I have this thing with the pots and frying pans handle has to be sticking out towards me at the right. Just like my coffee pot handle to the right … strange I know π

Speaking of spoons… I can’t use table spoons, I always use tea spoons for everything! Even soup! I don’t know why… I guess I’m just a bit weird! π€£

I hate to be watched while I eat or rather have someone look at my food on my plate. I think it has something to do with growing up with older brothers who sometimes took my food. When I see someone looking at my food, I get very defensive and ask passively, “Would you like some?” It is a strange one. I have learned to “never mind” mostly.

Ah yes, the food stealers. I had a SIL who always ordered very little for herself because she wanted to sample everyone’s food from their plates. π

When I lock the door at night, I must do it three times. I donβt know why, but I canβt sleep if I donβt lock it three times. Yes, I mean literally lock unlock lock unlock lock. Quirks, as Jonathan said in his comment, make us βusβ. π

Ah…that little bit of reassurance by doing it a certain number of times, yep. I get it. π

The strange thing is – the odd things about people, including ourselves, are often the most interesting things. They are what makes us “us”. The world would be very boring if we were all the same.
