La di da my entire schedule for the foreseeable future has changed.
Hockey kid has a collarbone injury, so no sports or school ski trip. Blah. The hockey playoffs are right around the corner…poor kid. Baseball off-season training – gone. And, he will probably need more, not less driving what with his heavy school bag and all that.
So there’s that.
For the other kid, an optional practice was added this week at a rink and she already said she wants to go so…more rink time for us which means more driving. 😶
The snow apocalypse is apparently on its way and the entire continental mid-west into the north-east and most of Canada is on alert. Again.
All I want to do is hibernate. 😴
Here’s what I’m going to do. I’m going on a diet. I’m going to cut carbs. Most of them anyway. And no more donuts. 🍩🍰🍮
And, I’m going to do stretching on the days I’m not walking dogs. Although walking is an incorrect term to use here…no one goes anywhere fast in a foot of snow or slush.
I miss my proper, cardiovascular dog walking trips… I’m sure the dogs do too. Jasper, the little Bichon especially. Some days he doesn’t even seem to want to go out. This is what he does when I coax him to come to me and he doesn’t want to…
“What do you mean I have to leave this comfy couch?”
“But it’s cold and wet out and it’s warm and dry here!”
“See how easy it is to stay here? I’m not coming.”
Of course eventually he realizes he has to pee… A treat might help to move things along a little more quickly too. 😉
Happy Monday! The first month of 2019 is already almost over…don’t blink.
Stay warm, and dry.
