Stress and anxiety were my first emotions of the day today. The tone of what happened last night stayed with me and carried into Monday.
Not a good way to start a busy week. (Had to do with fortnite, don’t even ask…)
I go to turn on the kettle and see every appliance blinking. Hm. Must have had a power outage last night. Does this mean my son’s alarm clock won’t go off?
Awesome. 🙄 (After all the preaching I did on that topic, this is not a good way to start a Monday morning…)
I looked out the window. Ick. I turned on the weather segment on some breakfast show on tv and more ick. Rain and cool all day.
After consulting with coaches over text and email, I canceled my daughter’s baseball practice tonight.
Just as well. My mood slightly improved as I made coffee and contemplated lunches. Don’t really feel like rushing around to go watch them play in a muddy field later…
Fast forward to a bunch of morning chaos and we finally get into the car. I offered to drive my kids plus a kid’s friend because the weather was atrocious. Also the son doesn’t have a rain coat. (Note to self: more shopping.)
So I’m driving around to the various schools when suddenly, my butt starts to feel very warm. I wiggle around a bit and think, hm…maybe my fleece jacket is causing all this heat?
I look at my son in the passenger seat.
“Does your seat feel warm?” I ask him.
“I turned on the seat warmer for you”, he said. ❤
This is so luxurious, I tell you, I can’t wait to drive kids to school and hockey in crappy weather now! (Not really. 🙃 )
All our cars up until recently have been second hand, older and pretty basic, so having a seat warmer is like luxury to me. But the seat was getting a bit too warm. I told him to turn it off.
“It has three settings, you want it on the low one?” he responded.
I have been missing out. 🙂 Plus, there is a steering wheel warmer option too, apparently.
Well, as far as I’m concerned, we are ready for winter.
But not yet, please. I haven’t had time to go through all the clothing yet.
Happy Monday! I’m feeling better now. Have a great start to another busy week.
