5. Self confidence isn’t a writer’s trait, in my opinion.
6. You can call round and fold my towels any day 😉 .
8. Nothin wrong with being a little OCD 😀 ..
9. OMFG!! Nothin scares me like a raging woman, seriously! (If it doesn’t hurt to write I’d enjoy reading a post about rage, I can be prone)
10. Long hair can be an issue for some older women, yours looks suits you, classy.
13. Wine soothes ALL life’s woes.
15. If someone is a lurker then it’s better not know.
18. Agreed!
49. You are not alone, my sis in law has no-tech timeouts.

Oh….the rage is not fun and breaks my heart after the fact…;)

😦 Claudette I wasn’t trying to be amusing, rage makes me feel truly upset and awful afterward.

I know. You’re so careful and polite… 😉 No worries. I’m not easily offended. I just mean that when I’m going through the rage other women often identify with me (reasons are varied but hormones are usually to blame). The men and kids feel more like you do (and they should…lol) 😂

A friend of my mum’s looks after people’s dogs (at her home) whilst they’re on holiday, she gets paid and word is spreading mouth to mouth……….. my guess is no one will mind paying because kennels are expensive and they are locked in pens with little exercise……….. thought that might help.

Thank you! Yes, I know once the word is out there words will spread! My SIL and BIL live about 3 hours from here and have two huge Shepherds and their trusted pet sitter is moving to another province and she said it is incredibly challenging to find someone as the ones that are already doing it are already at capacity!
I live in a big city and a high density neighbourhood, it probably only takes one dog to land as a client…I’m hoping. 🙂

What’s the difference between Swiss German and German? I’m not familiar with European languages lol. Will love to read your memoir one day!

It’s basically a dialect. I think most languages have them. If you visit say, New York and then head down to Texas, you’ll hear a very distinct dialect difference, but you still know it’s English. The Swiss German dialect is very hard for German speaking people to understand, bit they still recognize it as originating from German. 😊

Y’all are sho’ nuff right about them thar dialectical differences n’ stuff. Bein’ from Texas but having learnt me some Spanish purty good and a little French I done forget, mostly.
Now, if you read that in your imagined US southern (there’s more than one) or Texan accent from the movies and such, you might find yourself making judgement about the intelligence of the speaker of those words. But you would be dead wrong to do so. There are plenty of intelligent, witty and damn fine funny people who talk like hicks but are salt of the earth. I can speak with a twange with the best — I am a native – but I also took Latin, French and Spanish and have traveled a bit. I just thought I’d mention that even though only Claudette will probably see it.

I identified with SO MANY of the behaviours you listed – from the ordering of things, to the introverted tendecies – so many things. It’s no wonder we get on so well 🙂

As others have mentioned, it’s surprising English is not your first language.

I think Fortnite will be the end of all parents with teenage kids. I do not even know what the game is, beyond what I have read on blogs, but I know my kid plays it online with his friends (and try’s to say he is socializing, so should be allowed to play for hours on end)

I get the social aspect, which is why we allow it but mygod they’re obsessed. Or addicted. Or both. Which is why I said that. 😉

Wow, if English is not your native tongue you write wonderfully amazing. Yeah, I agree that hair always turns out best when there is nothing special going on. Lol.
